Haven't had a result still. I bought the Zagg Elite and its trash and so I took it off. And then far I'm good. My Note 8 did the aforementioned as y'all though got multiple scratches from a unknown source. This one seems better so far. Nosotros will see. Fingers crossed. If y'all put a screen protector in you shouldn't be able to see them. Or run across if yous tin commutation information technology. Possibly that a option.

Haven't had a event nonetheless. I bought the Zagg Aristocracy and its trash so I took it off. And so far I'thousand good. My Annotation 8 did the same as you though got multiple scratches from a unknown source. This i seems better so far. Nosotros will run into. Fingers crossed. If you put a screen protector in you shouldn't be able to see them. Or run across if you can exchange information technology. Maybe that a option.

My but hesitation is that if I purchase Whitestone and tin still run into the scratches then that's money wasted. And then I estimate I'll just exchange only was just curious if anyone else had problems

But than what were all those endurance test about. Cause I watched a few and it showed the screen was really durable. And that it would non be scratched past everday items such as car keys or coins in your pocked. Such a shame.

Protect your phones. Tough glass is still drinking glass, and things you can't fifty-fifty see in your pocket (like a grain of sand) can however scratch y'all screen

Part of the way that GG works at present is making the drinking glass less brittle, so less likely to shatter, by making it softer, and so more likely to be scratched.

aforementioned here and there has been thread like this for every device I've endemic since I stopped using screen protectors, Notation five, S7 Edge, S8+, Notation 7, note 8. I don't baby them but simply a example and don't drop it all the time or put them in a pocket full of sand and no issues with whatsoever device

That'south gorilla drinking glass 5 for yous. I had that happen with the S8+ and the Note 8. Information technology's ridiculous. Certain, more shatterproof and all of that jazz, but I put information technology inside my wearing apparel slacks for a day with zippo else in the pocket and concluded up with a tiny little scratch on the screen. This happened with both devices. I had a screen protector prepare and waiting for my S9+ when information technology showed upward. Never once more will I carry ane of these phones without a protector.

Screen protector and case will minimize potential scratches and damage. That'south what I tell myself and why I always have to have them. Even then, however, something tin even so happen.

Knives, keys etc. have no outcome on gorilla glass. But sand particles will get out micro scratches. Never carry a phone in a pocket, I did that with my LG G5 for a bit and that phone had micro scratches. So its not a Samsung problem. As well every bit nearly say, that's what screen protectors are for. I all the same use the plastic ones, cheap and easily replaceable. Merely skin off and your screen is equally good as new, even after months of heavy use.

Yeah, I never apply a screen protector glass or plastic. They just ruin the feel of the screen to me. I always practice eventually end up with very tiny hairline scratches here and there but nothing noticeable unless I actually look for it at certain angles. Information technology doesn't carp me though and the cost I pay for not wanting the actress protection.

Information technology seems the higher the number gets with Gorilla Glass the crappier information technology is.
